Porte Parole

Porte Parole
Based in Montreal, Canada, Porte Parole Productions is the brainchild of playwright and producer Annabel Soutar and director, actor and playwright Alex Ivanovici. Its mission is to use documentary theater to transform civic engagement in its audiences. The company regards theater as providing an innovative hub for democratic dialogue—a space that promotes curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and live contact between diverse and engaged citizen-participants. During their visit to Ohio State, Soutar and Ivanovici will interact with faculty, staff and students in the School of Environmental and Natural Resources, as well as the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Arts. They will direct a public reading of their work The Assembly on the Columbus campus, featuring two student actors from Ohio State and two from a pool of performers affiliated with the Pomerene Center for the Performing Arts in Coshocton, Ohio.
