In The Glass Web (Jack Arnold, 1953), a manipulative actress (Kathleen Hughes) is having an affair with both the married writer (John Forsythe) of a television show that recreates real crimes and the show’s researcher (Edward G. Robinson). When she shows up dead, the researcher proposes they base the next episode on her murder. But who killed her?

The film is one of the great 3D thrillers of the 1950s directed by Jack Arnold (Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Incredible Shrinking Man). Robert Furmanek introduces the screening and discusses the 3-D Film Archive’s recent restoration work on the picture. (81 mins., 3D DCP)
