Cinema Revival: A Festival of Film Restoration
Rethink what you know about cinema history at the 11th annual Cinema Revival.

Film/Theater
The Wex’s annual weekend celebrating the art and practice of film restoration is back! This year we welcome experts Heather Linville of the Library of Congress, David Marriott of Canadian International Pictures, Tim Lanza and Sarah Hartzell of Ohio State Libraries, and Daniella Curró of the University of South Carolina; filmmakers Steven Bognar and Lisa Cholodenko; and special guest Doris Nomathandé Dixon. While it’s always a pleasure to see a new restoration of a favorite classic on the big screen, we’re also celebrating the world’s archivists and restoration experts working to revive historically overlooked films and filmmakers. This year we’ll also be showing features from Alfred Hitchcock, Ousmane Sembène, Michael Curtiz, Ivan Dixon, Marva Nabili, and more!
Purchase a festival pass to take in the full roster of films. At $42, that’s less than $4 a program—even less if you are a Wex member. A pass also gives you access to an exclusive passholder lounge with complimentary snacks and beverages on Saturday and Sunday.
