Ahn Jae-huun

Ahn Jae-huun is an animator and director who founded one of the first anime studios in South Korea. His studio, Meditation with a Pencil, is dedicated to depicting Korean life in 2D animations and hand-drawn styles that celebrate the country’s scenery, culture and traditions. Ahn is one of only a handful of Korean directors to have worked on shorts, TV series, commercials and feature-length movies. His short film, One Day of Hitchcock, won several awards in Korea, and his works have appeared in many international film festivals, where they have received prizes that include the Grand Competition - Feature Film at Animafest Zagreb and the Contrechamp Jury Distinction at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
