This double feature was selected by members of Ohio State’s Art & Resilience student organization, which uses the arts to spark connection, reflection, and creativity. It pairs two wildly inventive dark comedies that take on class, labor, and the systems that shape who gets to succeed.

Bong Joon Ho’s Academy Award–winning Parasite follows a struggling family who scheme their way into the lives of a wealthy household, with unexpected consequences. In Korean with English subtitles. (132 mins., DCP)

Boots Riley’s surreal satire Sorry to Bother You  pursues an Oakland telemarketer whose sudden success leads him into an increasingly bizarre corporate world. (112 mins., DCP)

Sharp, funny, and unsettling, both films ask what we’re willing to do—and give up—to get ahead.

Free pizza will be served at 6 PM while supplies lasts, and regular film concessions will be available.
