Hand-picked by Cinéseries president Yasmeen Taher-Masri, Leila and the Wolves is essential viewing for anyone even remotely interested in the political possibilities of cinema. The film weaves a time- and space-bending narrative centered around a central character named Leila (Nabila Zeitouni) as she visits different eras and sites of women’s liberation in Lebanon and Palestine. Described as a “film of monumental resolve and ambition” by the Celluloid Liberation Front, Leila and the Wolves is a must-see on the big screen.
