This month’s cozy lineup includes a restorative movement session facilitated by a Heartfelt Movement practitioner, cookie decorating with our friends at Heirloom Café, a Community Studio art-making session, and a screening of the beloved Studio Ghibli film Kiki’s Delivery Service. Enjoy free coffee, tea, and cocoa while you’re here!

We’re open late so you can stop by the galleries and explore our breathtaking fall exhibitions. Take your time, explore at your own pace, and treat yourself to some warmth and creativity. Our educators will be in the galleries to spark conversation or simply help you slow down and look.

You can also grab a snack and beverage in Heirloom Café and peruse the Wexner Center Store for the latest selection of books, gifts, and goodies. Ohio State students get an additional 20% off in the store during First Thursday events. Check in and scan your BuckID to get the most out of the Wex!

Community Studio

Get your eyes, hands, and heart moving with our all-ages, drop-in art-making session offering an array of materials and processes. In addition to open-ended exploration and exhibition-related activities, participants can make gifts, collaged cards, and gift boxes—no experience necessary! 

Cookie Decorating
Heirloom Café | 5–7 PM 
Free for all audiences

Hang out with our friends from Heirloom Café and decorate a sweet treat for yourself or a friend. No registration necessary! Gluten free and vegan cookie options will be available.

Drop-In Gallery Experiences

Learn more about our fall exhibitions featuring Nanette Carter, Eric N. Mack, Mimi Ọnụọha, and Veronica Ryan from Wex educators. The galleries stay open until 9 PM.

(W)exhale: Somatic Body Break 
Performance Space | 5:30–6:30 PM 
Free for all audiences

Join us for a restorative physical movement session designed especially for Ohio State students. Through gentle breathwork and bilateral movement practices, you’ll ground your body while refreshing your energy. Music and ambient lighting will amplify the restorative vibes, helping to clear mental fog and invite calm focus.

Film Screening: Kiki’s Delivery Service
Film/Video Theater | 7 PM

This heartwarming Studio Ghibli film follows young witch Kiki as she ventures out to a new city to start her own flying delivery service. Witness her journey of independence, self-discovery, and the power of believing in yourself as she navigates new challenges and friendships. (102 mins., DCP)
