“Architecture and the Everyday”
Max Creasy will discuss his relationship and observations of the everyday through several past projects and how this relates to architecture.
Max Creasy is an Australian/Norwegian Visual Artist living and working between Oslo, Norway, and Europe. He works predominantly with photography and the urban environment with a particularly focus on the everyday and the occupation of architecture. He regularly collaborates with other architects, curators, artists and designers including Joakim Skajaa, Stand Van Zaken, Moritz Küng, Daly & Lyon and David Kohn Architects.
Recent Publications include In Miami in the 1980s: The Vanishing Architecture of a Paradise Lost, Casual Relationships and Footnotes, Backgrounds, Sheds: The Drawing Matter Archive by Hugh Strange Architects. Recent exhibitions include Bad Language at the Architectural Association, London and Wenche Selmer: What Can You Live Without? Nasjonalmuseet, Oslo, Norway. He has lectured and taught at the Architectural Association, Trondheim School of Architecture and Oslo School of Architecture and Design. In 2009 he completed a Master of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW, Sydney.
