Mon Apr 28 – Thu May 22
OSU Urban Arts Space, 50 W Town St

Reception: May 10, 6–9 pm

The new OSU Urban Arts Space in the historic Lazarus building in downtown Columbus is the site of this spring’s art exhibition featuring work by 30 MFA (master’s of fine arts) students in the Department of Art. It marks the first time all graduating MFA students will exhibit their thesis work together in this major group show. The show opens Mon, April 28 and continues until Thurs, May 22. A reception is planned Sat, May 10, 6 – 9 pm.

“Not only does this exhibition mark the conclusion of these students’ master’s studies, it is also Columbus’s introduction to 30 young professional artists,” says Sergio Soave, chair of the Department of Art. “It’s exciting for them because it celebrates their emergence into the city’s art community.”

The Master’s of Fine Arts: Thesis Exhibition includes research and studio work in the areas of art + technology, ceramics, glass, painting + drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture. The OSU Urban Arts Space is open Mon through Sat 11 am–4 pm; Thurs 11 am–8 pm. Admission is free.
