The Department of Theatre will stage Lawrence and Lee’s Inherit the Wind in honor of the 50th anniversary of its first production. The classic dramatization of the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial, which pitted creationism against evolutionary theory, has become one of the best-loved American dramas. Though the Ohio playwrights fictionalized and consolidated much of the actual trial, the central issues are as current today as ever. Presented in honor of the 50th anniversary of its first production in 1955. Directed by Alan Woods, the play will be staged May 11-21 in Thurber Theatre.

Tickets $15 general public; $11 OSU faculty, staff, Alumni Assn, seniors; $9 students/children; call the box office at 292-2295.
