Undergraduate
Graduation
After
Applying for Graduation
If anything changes about your plans or your address,
you must let the Advising Office know immediately.
If you have taken any
loans out or received Financial Aid, you will want to call 292-0300 and
set up and exit review to find out about any obligations
and payments you may need to set up.
You will be placed on the graduating senior roster and that means you will
get a certain amount of priority in scheduling your classes.
The quarter you graduate you will need to arrange with your teachers to
submit final grades a week early. This means you will need to be done with
all papers, final exams, performances, and exhibitions that are tied to
class grades.
You will be able to find out specific information about graduation services
for you and your family and guests at commencement.osu.edu
About two weeks before graduation, the College of the Arts Advising office
will mail you a brochure that contains additional information, including
your marching number. If you do not plan to attend it is very important
to let the Advising office know.
Make sure to utilize Career Connections in the Younkin Success center to
help you as you refine your career goals and put into action your plans.
They are able to help you even one quarter after you graduate. Call 688-3898
for an appointment.
Arts and Sciences Career Services can also help you locate internships
and tell you when companies are coming to campus to interview.
See career.asc.ohio-state.edu for more information about their resources.
Keep in contact with faculty about your plans and ask their advice. Now
is a good time to ask for letters of recommendation. Make sure whomever
you ask knows you really well and can speak of specific strengths and areas
of accomplishment so that the letter is as positive and detailed as possible.
The Advising Office will see you at graduation services and line you up
for marching order. |
